State association creates fund to support districts impacted by Hurricane Michael
Oct. 17, 2018
Hurricane Michael has severely impacted more than 10 Florida school districts in the Panhandle and Big Bend Region, causing significant damage. The communities may feel the devastation of the Category 4 hurricane for months or longer.
The Florida Association of District School Superintendents (FADSS) is raising funds to go directly to the impacted school districts to help their school communities rebuild. FADSS is a nonprofit organization that represents the 67 district school superintendents in Florida that serve more than 2.8 million public school students.
A GoFundMe page has been created by FADSS at https://www.gofundme.com/fadss-hurricane-michael-relief.
