Students from Pinellas Park High School win Congressional App Challenge

Four students from Pinellas Park High School won U.S. Representative Charlie Crist’s Congressional App Challenge. The challenge was to create an App to help Veterans access services and resources more efficiently. Yen Le, Oanh Le, Chau Nguyen and Thao Vo are students from Pinellas Park High’s STEM club. The students presented their winning app at USF St. Petersburg to judges from local businesses and retired members of the military.
The winning PPHS app will be used by the Department of Veterans Affairs, recognized by U.S. Congress, presented at the Capitol Building and includes a trip for the students to Washington, D.C.
The STEM Club's sponsor is Lafrance Clarke who is featuerd with the students, U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist and Pinellas Park High School principal Brett Patterson in the photo below.
