Students honored at the Kids Tag Art award ceremony
Jan. 23, 2019
Nearly 150 Pinellas students were recognized for their license plate designs at the ceremony at Largo High on Jan. 17.
Kids Tag Art is a partnership between Florida Tax Collectors, local school districts, and business sponsors. The contest gives fifth-graders the opportunity to design front license plates. Proceeds from the tag sales are donated to schools to pay for art supplies and art-themed field trips.
The Pinellas County Tax Collector’s Office launched Kids Tag Art Pinellas in 2015. Since then, the office has raised more $144,000 for elementary art programs and college scholarships.
Student designs can be viewed and purchased online at kidstagartpinellas.org through Jan. 30.
