Food give away part of Campbell Park Elementary community school model

March 11, 2019

The Campbell Park Elementary School, in partnership with John’s Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and Feeding Tampa Bay, hosted a grocery give away for the Campbell Park community. More than 100 boxes containing frozen meats, fresh vegetables, organic bread and pantry items were given to families. Coinciding with the grocery give away, the school also organized a family resource fair in which 22 community agencies and organizations gathered to connect Campbell Park families to needed resources. Dinner was provided and attending families had a chance to win a flat screen television.

Campbell Park Elementary will continue to host a grocery give away each month with John’s Hopkins and Feeding Tampa Bay as part of its Community School model.
