Students who made a positive educational change recognized

April 15, 2019

The 34th annual Turnaround Achievement Awards Breakfast was at Banquet Masters in Clearwater.

The Turnaround Achievement Award program recognizes one student from each middle and high school who has made positive choices about his or her educational future. The schools’ principal and staff members select the students. The turnaround can occur in behavior, attitude, and academics or from overcoming substance dependence.

The annual event is held conjunction with the Krauss Family’s Seminole and Sunrise Lanes and the district’s Dropout Prevention Department. Mike Thackrey, the CEO of Vine IT-Cyber Security of St. Petersburg, was the keynote speaker.
