Superintendent honored for efforts to educate and elevate Hispanic students

Oct. 14, 2019

Dr. Michael Grego received the Education Leadership Award from the Hispanic Education Coalition of Palm Beach County.

He was honored for promoting educational equity for Hispanic/Latino students. The award was presented to him on Friday, Oct. 11, at the 5th Annual Hispanic Leadership Awards Luncheon in West Palm Beach.

The award recognizes individuals who have made a difference in the lives of Hispanic students. Dr. Grego's honor specifically highlights his efforts to celebrate the achievement of our Hispanic students by implementing the Maria Edmonds Hispanic Achievement Awards.

The awards ceremony began in 2018. Last year, 465 high-achieving Hispanic students were honored at the 2nd Annual Maria Edmonds Hispanic Achievement Awards ceremony.
