PTC Clearwater students Kaylee Conley and Ashley Chance won gold medals for Web Design and Development at the National SkillsUSA Competition. The competition took place June 23-27 in Atlanta.
The team qualified for the nationals after winning the state competition, which was held April 28- May 1.
Conley has a young son and was looking for a career that allowed her to work from home. She enrolled at PTC in January.
Chance started PTC as a high school student in the dual enrollment program. She returned to PTC after graduating from high school and will graduate from PTC on July 15.
This is the first time that PTC Clearwater students have won the National SkillsUSA championship.
