PCS student takes Best Dancer trophy at Jimmy Awards
Pinellas County Center for the Arts (PCCA) recent graduate, Alana Hogan, took home the prestigious "Best Dancer" award at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as the Jimmy Awards. The Jimmy Awards, established in 2009, are a national celebration of outstanding student achievement in high school musical theater, providing a platform for talented young performers to showcase their abilities on a national stage.
Alana earned her spot at the national competition by winning the Straz Center's Broadway Star of the Future competition in May. Her exceptional talent and dedication shone through, securing her place among the nation's top high school performers. Alana's passion for musical theater will continue to flourish as she heads to Florida State University in the fall to pursue a degree in musical theater.
