Principal's Update

As you are enjoying the final days of summer break, I wanted to share another reason to celebrate being an Osprey…our school received a State school grade of an “A”! Your children worked hard to master the grade level standards, the teachers & staff worked tirelessly to teach and re-teach for mastery and you embraced us throughout the school year! Congratulations, Ospreys!

We are busy planning to kick off the 2022-2023 school year. We look forward to welcoming our teachers and staff this week on campus.

The Ozona Elementary PTA is hosting a welcome back lunch for the staff on Tuesday, August 2nd. If you are able to help make this event a success, please consider donating a store or restaurant prepared dish; see the SignUpGenius link on the Ozona Elementary PTA Facebook or Instagram pages for details.

On those pages you will also find information for times to meet the teacher as well as school supply lists by grades. The sites will be updated with Back to School information throughout the week.

Please be sure you have a parent username & password to access Focus.  You will need this throughout your child’s educational journey, and you will need it to learn who your child’s teacher is. Our DMT, Mrs. Kelly, can assist with this. (Email: kellyce@pcsb.org). You will need to come into the front office with a valid driver’s license/photo ID.

The PTA is also coordinating a park playdate for any family looking to meet other Ozona families. Meet at Pop Stansell Park on Friday, August 5th at 9:00am. Wear your Osprey swag if you have it.  Speaking of spirit wear, we will be opening up a spirit wear online store when school is in session so you can stock up on your Ozona Elementary gear for the Fall!

Finally, the PTA is hosting a Boo Hoo/Yahoo! breakfast for our preschool and kindergarten parents who want to join us for a coffee or breakfast generously donated by Chick-Fil-A Palm Harbor.  Join us after drop off in the main campus media center on the first day of school, Wednesday, August 10th. Come and meet other new parents and celebrate what a great year this will be for your child!

Again, awesome job on the “A”, best of luck to our uprising middle school scholars and Go Ospreys!
