Leadership University, which is managed by the district’s Professional Development Department, is a program of learning opportunities that develop an awareness of quality leadership, characteristics and skills. The goal of Leadership University is to build upon the leadership skills and potential of employees from all areas of the Pinellas County Schools organization. Completion of the program helps to create a way of work that reflects the individual’s mission. Development of a leadership plan includes examining personal leadership styles, one’s leadership role within the work place, practicing collaborative approaches, and setting clear goals with self-directed activities of leadership implementation at their sites. This program is not required but recommended for future leaders in PCS.
The application for the 2018 cohort will be available in the fall. Watch the Chalk Talk for more information in October/November.
