Sutherland Elementary is excited to partner with the Palm Harbor Library for their summer reading program! All students who register for the program, complete it, and receive a certificate from the library can show their certificate to their teacher at the beginning of the 2025–2026 school year. As a fun reward for their hard work and dedication to reading over the summer, those students will be invited to a special popsicle party sponsored by the Sutherland PTA. We encourage all our students to participate and keep those reading skills strong all summer long!

Registration for the 2025 Palm Harbor Library Summer Reading Program begins on Saturday, May 31 at 10am in person but students can register anytime after that in person until July 19th.  They can turn in their reading logs between July 7 - 26th.  They have to turn in a completed reading log in order to receive a certificate and they have to get a certificate in order to participate in the popsicle party.  There is also a Summer Reading Carnival on August 2 from 12:00 - 4:00pm where students can use the tickets they earn through the Summer Reading Program to play games.  More information can be found: https://palmharbor.librarycalendar.com/event/summer-registration-day-966
