Suggest a name for the new K-8 School

Southern Oak and Walsingham Elementary schools will expand to offer a new highly desirable educational K-8 model for the 2025-26 school year.  Physically, the school will be renovated and modernized to accommodate the expanded range of students served and programs offered.
The Pinellas County School Board is seeking suggestions from the community for naming the new K-8 school.

According to School Board Policy 7250

  • If a school is named by location, the name of the facility shall be descriptive and brief.
  • If a school is named for a person, that person shall have been an outstanding civic or educational leader of local or national repute who has been deceased for one year or longer.

THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT IDEAS IS 5 P.M. ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2024.
