Marie HillAfter a rigorous interview and selection process, Marie Hill, the Music and STEAM Specialist at Douglas L. Jamerson, Jr. Elementary, was selected to serve as a liaison between NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and her K-5 community. As an ambassador, Hill will develop and host public events to communicate the science of NASA’s space exploration missions as well as the integration of arts into the STEM curriculum.

“I am beyond excited to share my love of space and science with my students and colleagues through music and the arts,” Hill said.

Hill’s first official ambassador event will be at Jamerson’s spring expo and 20th anniversary celebration in April.

The Solar System Ambassadors Program of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory offers information and excitement about real missions that explore our solar system and beyond. Ambassadors in communities throughout the country are selected by JPL based on their backgrounds and on their plans for public outreach activities.
