Weekly Message for the week of 4-28-25

Good evening, Green Devil Families!

Here is your April 28th weekly update for school events and information:

*Our Spring testing season is upon us.  Important tests for this week are listed below.

This week’s state test is the 9th and 10th grade FAST PM3 Reading test, Thursday, May 1st.  Please see below for some important reminders for students.  We ask that you please read through these and help us reinforce them with your students so that they are prepared for testing this week.

Parents- we also need your help in reminding your students to bring their district issued laptops with them (fully charged) on test day as we do NOT have enough extras to cover all students who will be testing.  Please see below for important testing tips when taking the FAST PM3 test.

PLEASE remind your child to:

  • Take their time- they have until the end of the school day to complete the test
  • Use their scratch paper and make sure to check and double check their work
  • Read all questions/passages carefully and DO NOT randomly guess!  The test is adaptive, which means it changes as they answer questions.  If the questions are getting harder, they are getting them correct and doing well!
  • DO NOT flag questions to come back to them, answer them in order.  The system will NOT allow them to skip questions.
  • Make sure to pay attending to titles, labels, images and graphs in passages as they are important

*Please save the dates for our Spring Musical “Hades Town” (teen edition) this week.  Show times are Thursday, May 1st (6:30pm), Friday, May 2nd (6:30pm), Saturday,  May 3rd (11am & 4pm) and Sunday, May 4th (2pm)- Sunday show is meal and musical.  Tickets are available on the GO FAN app.  Adults are $12, students $8.  Meal and musical on 5/4 is $20.
