Good evening, Green Devil Families!

Here is your May 26^th weekly update for school events and information:

*Reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 26^th in honor of Memorial Day.

*SENIOR parents- there are only 3 school days left until graduation on May 29^th.  Please make sure your senior is on track to graduate.  This means earning the required credits, GPA and meeting state testing requirements.  If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s guidance counselor or Mr. Bryant (bryantan@pcsb.org) for assistance.  Students who do not meet the credit and/or GPA requirements are NOT permitted to WALK at graduation.

*GRADUATION-  Please make sure to check out school website for all of the updates relating to our Class of 2025 Graduation.  We will update these as we receive them from the district.  Reminder that you do NOT need tickets for graduation, Thursday, May 29^th @ 7:30PM at the Baycare Sound in Clearwater.

*IMPORTANT Graduation SEVERE WEATHER PLANS-  In case of inclement weather that causes the Bay Care Sound to cancel Thursday night’s commencement ceremony, we are asking that you please keep the date of Saturday, May 31^st open.  Times will be released later.

ONLY IF GRADUATION ON 5/29 IS CANCELLED-  Due to limited space in our auditorium, tickets will be limited for graduates IF THE RAIN PLAN needs to move forward.  Ticketing information will be released later.

ONLY IF GRADUATION ON 5/29 IS CANCELLED-  We will need to hold 2 ceremonies so the class would be broken up in half, to all for more space for attendees, etc.

ONLY IF GRADUATION ON 5/29 IS CANCELLED- Please remember this is JUST IN CASE—and as stated previously, the details of this plan would ONLY be released if necessary.  Please refer back to the weather policy that was previously posted from Bay Care Sound.  Also, posted on the St. Pete HS website.

*Reminder to SENIORS, there will be a MANDATORY senior class meeting on Thursday, May 22^nd at 9:45AM in the auditorium.  If any senior who is planning to walk at graduation still needs a cap and gown, please reach out ASAP to Mrs. Anderson (andersonand@pcsb.org). Any senior who has yet to turn in laptops or textbooks should plan to bring them to this meeting.  These MUST be returned prior to graduation

*ALSO, SENIORS who owe financial obligations to the school need to get them cleared up prior to graduation.  The current list is posted in the Class of 2025 TEAMS page so students can check to see if they are on that list.

*SUMMER Driver’s Ed registration is now open.  To register click here:  https://www.pcsb.org/Page/43586

*Students interested in Dual Enrollment for next school year, please be sure and provide your counselor the SPC ID number you received after you applied.  See your School Counselor if you need any assistance.

*Our campus is open from 6:30AM-2:30PM each day.  No student should be dropped off before 6:30AM and all students (unless they are in a school sponsored event and with an adult sponsor) should be OFF campus no later than 2:30PM.

Our office hours are 7:00AM to 3:00PM.  If you need to sign your child out early from school, please make sure to do so prior to 1:30 PM.  NO PTLs will be permitted after 1:30, students cannot be released during the last 25 minutes of the day.

              -Algebra 1 Credit Recovery (for students who have failed Algebra 1)                                                          June 16-26

              -Algebra 1 EOC Prep (for students who have not passed the Alg 1 End of Course Exam)                    June 30-July 10

              -ACT Prep (Both for English and Math, with a Saturday ACT on 7/13)                                                June 30-July 10

              -Core Course Credit Recovery (English, Math, Science and Social Studies)                                                         June 2-July 17

Hours for Summer Bridge are 8AM to 12PM.  Grab and go lunch will be available for all students.  There is NO transportation available.

 

*It is the time for the Florida Department of Education’s annual Exceptional Student Education Parent Survey.  If your child receives special education services, please make your voice heard by submitting this survey. Please click the link at https://www.pcsb.org/ese
