Albin "Q" Qinones

Albin QuinonesAlbin "Q" Quinones has dedicated his life to serving and protecting others, beginning his career in corrections in 1992. After discovering his passion for law enforcement, he embarked on a career as a police officer in 1994, a journey that spanned 28 years in Tarpon Springs. Throughout his extensive career, he took on various roles that showcased his commitment to his community, including serving in bike patrol, community policing, and as a school resource officer. His experience extended to supervising the Cops and Kids program for the last 10 years, crime prevention initiatives, and as a hostage negotiator on the SWAT team.

In addition to his work in local law enforcement, Albin had the unique opportunity to work with the United Nations for a year, further broadening his perspective and expertise. A poor Army veteran, he has always demonstrated a deep sense of duty and honor.

Beyond his professional life, Albin has been happily married for 38 years and is the proud father of four children-three daughters on this earth and one angel badge, AK, which profoundly influenced his character and resilience. He is also a proud grandfather to four grandchildren, who bring joy and pride to his life.

Deeply rooted in his New York identity, Albin is a passionate supporter of the New York Mets, a fact well-known to those who know him.  His experience of losing a child at a young age shaped him into the man he is today, giving him a profound sense of empathy and strength. Despite the challenges he has faced, he continues to be a dedicated and inspirational figure within his family and community.
