James R. Miller

Officer James “Jim” Miller is a product of Pinellas County Schools and a 1987 graduate of Northeast High School. Officer Miller attended Meadowlawn Middle School and Lynch Elementary. Officer Miller is a graduate of West Virginia State University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice Administration.  

Officer Miller was hired by the Pinellas County Schools in September of 2019 and is currently in his 29th year of law enforcement. Officer Miller’s career began is Charlotte North Carolina. Officer Miller moved back to Florida in 2001 where he was hired by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s where his assignments included Field Training, Community Policing, Narcotics Investigations, School Resource Officer,  Homicide, SWAT, SWAT instructor, Active assailant Instructor,  and finally supervision.

Officer Miller is not married and has two adult children perusing careers in the medical and accounting fields.
