Bullying Prevention and Intervention
The Pinellas County Schools Policy against Bullying and Harassment defines bullying as: Systematically and chronically inflicting physical hurt or psychological distress on one or more students or employees. In bullying situations there are always 3 key elements present: Imbalance of Power, Intent to Harm, Repeated Behavior.
At Dunedin Highland Middle School, if students have a conflict with a peer, they should seek the assistance of an adult on campus as soon as possible. This can be a teacher, a counselor, or an administrator.
