Final week/summer information for the week of May 24th, 2020
I can’t believe this is our final week of school! None of us could have predicted the last few months, and I am proud of all we accomplished this year as a school community! Our Jaguars were engaged each day by highly effective, nurturing teachers who challenged them with rigorous curriculum and higher order thinking!
While I am not sure what our new normal will look like for the upcoming school year, we will return to school as a strong Jaguar community! I will continue to keep families updated.
Congratulations to our fifth graders! I hope the 5th grade graduation parade was as special for you as it was for us. I know all our graduating Jaguars will make us proud in their middle school years and beyond. Best of luck to each of you!
Thank you for embracing me as your new principal this year. I have enjoyed getting to know all our students and families, and I can’t wait for next school year!
Teachers will still be taking attendance Tuesday through Thursday this week, so please be sure your Jaguars log on to Teams each day. This week is all about fun and enriching activities and virtual end-of-the-year parties! Our teachers are looking forward to their final days with our students. All classes in Teams will be deleted on June 1st as we prepare for the upcoming year so make sure your students are enjoying each other and their teacher on Teams this week.
If you purchased class pictures, feel free to stop by the front office on Thursday of this week until 1:30. Any not picked up will be given to students at the beginning of the school year.
Summer Fun Bridge – keep signing up!!!
I want to encourage you to sign up for Summer Fun Bridge. If interested, please let your teacher know or call the front office and we will take care of the registration process for you! This will be a fun way to keep your student engaged with learning over the summer. The themes and daily virtual field trips are going to be amazing! We have enrolled just over 180 students and hope to still reach 250 before the close of this week. Please reach out with any questions.
Summer and Clever
Students will still have access to Clever this summer, so please encourage them to log on to MyOn, Dreambox, Istation, and Sora. Please encourage students to KEEP READING!
Rising 3rd, 4th, 5th Graders-MULTIPLICATION FACTS
I am challenging our rising 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders to learn their multiplication facts. As a school, this is an area for growth. Consider making or purchasing flash cards to assist them in this area. I want all of our student to make it into our new "I Know My Multiplication Facts Club" when they return to school in the Fall!
If you were issued a school computer, please keep it to continue learning with Summer Bridge or to engage with the sites on Clever. Computers will be collected at the end of the summer or at the beginning of next school year.
