2017-18 Course Registration: The 2017-18 course registration process begins for returning students on January 26th when students record their initial choices and recommendations for next school year. More information can be found here. Students will meet individually with their guidance counselor in February. Incoming 9th grade students will register in March when counselors visit their middle schools. Private middle school students should make an appointment with their counselor to choose courses in late March or early April. Click for the full Curriculum Guide.
Parent Survey and Newletter: Our annual Parent Survey can be found here. The purpose is to gather input from all stakeholders on how to improve our school. Students and staff take a similar survey. The survey is open from January 9 to February 16 and should take about 10 minutes to complete. The newest edition of the Northeast Newsletter has been published. Information on our upcoming College and Career Ready Parent Nights can be found in the newsletter.
Shadowing for 2017-2018: If you are considering one Northeast's four career academy application programs for 2017, shadowing is a great way for an 8th grade student to experience a day in the life of a Viking academy student. This day can be instrumental in helping a student determine which academy program is right for him or her by providing an “insider’s” point of view to prepare them for college and career. Contact Debbie Fischer, Academy Director (email@example.com or 727-570-3138, ext. 2064) beginning October 1 to make an appointment. Click here for more information. Our Open House Discovery Night for students and parents is December 5, 2016 at 6pm. This resource is helpful as you apply for application programs. Northeast Students Featured in Videos: Northeast students are participating in a two year partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay and USAmeriBank. Forty students will partner with employees from USAmeriBank to learn workplace skills and grow towards adulthood. See the videos here and here.
Attendance Information: Parents may now click on the Report Student Absence icon at the top right of this page to report a student absence. In order to ensure parents are always informed about student attendance, parents are asked to send in a note when a student is late to school or sign the student in at the front office.
