New Discipline Procedures: Northeast will implement several new policies and procedures beginning May 2nd. Students will no longer be allowed to wear headphones on campus before 1:35pm. There will also be a new procedure for tardies which should help students miss less class time. Click here for more information.
New Student Parent Night: Northeast welcomes all new families that have registered for the 2016-17 school year. A New Student Parent Night will be held on Thursday, April 7 at 6pm in the school auditorium. The purpose of the Parent Night is for parents to review student course selections for 2016-17, meet school staff, receive information for summer programs and have questions answered. New families to Pinellas County Schools should visit Northeast as soon as possible to register with this list of items.
Florida Standards Assessment and SAT Practice: All 9th and 10th grade students participated in a practice session for the upcoming Florida Standards Assessment Writing and Reading test. To practice at home, click here.
Students also reviewed their PSAT scores and linked their scores to the College Board's new SAT practice site with Khan Academy. The Khan Academy practice site uses student's PSAT scores and develops a personal learning plan based on the new SAT that begins in March 2016. For more information about how to log in, click here.
2016-17 Course Registration: The 2016-17 course registration process begins for returning students on January 27th when students record their initial choices and recommendations for next school year. More information can be found here. Students will meet individually with their guidance counselor in February. Incoming 9th grade students will register in March when counselors visit their middle schools. Private middle school students should make an appointment with their counselor to choose courses in late March or early April.
