Campus Safety

Please abide by the car line procedures and do not pick up/drop off your child on the side street (79th St). This is a safety concern as there is a high rate of traffic on this street during arrival/dismissal times.  Additionally the street has been marked with no parking signs and we want to respect our neighbors in the surrounding community.

*Students are only permitted on campus 30 minutes before (9:00 a.m.) and 30 minutes after (4:30 p.m.) School unless they are involved with a school sanctioned event.  There has been an increase in students arriving extremely early and being picked up late outside school hours.  This poses a safety concern as our Teachers/Staff are not on duty to supervise.  Please assist us in abiding by this request.

  • Holiday Challenge- Over the course of winter break we encourage families to work with their students to keep learning active. When you type the link (http://tinyurl.com/hdjj3xx)  into your web browser you will be directed to Office 365 where you will sign in with your Focus username and password. ELA, Reading, Science, Social Studies, and Math sections are divided by grade level.  Your challenge is to read, compute, watch, or play the resource links that you find the most interesting and then go to the O365 Response Link to record what you've learned.  Individual schools, departments, or teachers will determine participation goals and what the reward will be.

  • High School Application Programs: The Pinellas County School’s Open Application for Magnet/ Fundamental Program begins January 4, 2017, and concludes January 13, 2017. As you make high school decisions for the 2017-2018 school year I highly encourage you to visit all high schools you are interested in (attend school tours if offered), allow your student to shadow high schools during the student day (these absences will be excused), and attend district sponsored magnet fairs (November 10 at Gibbs High School and November 12 at Pinellas Park High School), so you may make an informed decision.  You are required to apply for magnet and fundamental options if you are not planning to attend your neighborhood school.  You will not be invited into a magnet or fundamental seat without applying.
