  • Welcome to the Azalea Middle School website and thanks for visiting! At Azalea Middle our mission is to create a quality learning environment for your child. A strong partnership between school and home is a critical component of your child’s success. It is our desire that this website will be a useful resource for you.     After school enrichment opportunities

    After school clubs and tutoring are available and transportation is provided. Please check with your child's school counselor for details. If your child did not pass one or more classes first semester, please get him or her enrolled and participating in course recovery right away.

    Help us improve!  In an effort to improve system practices, Azalea Middle School is conducting a Parent Survey. We value your opinion and ask that you take the time to complete this survey. Please be assured that your responses will be anonymous. Your honest opinion is appreciated. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

  • 8th Grade High School Acceptance Period:  For students that have applied to attend a particular high school program, the Acceptance Period runs from February 3 through 10.

    • PARENTS- log in to the student reservation system at with your PARENT PORTAL LOG IN to see what schools your child has been accepted into (just like you did when they applied).
    • Students will not be able to see this by logging into their student accounts.


    Handouts were given to students at the beginning of the year with instructions for this. If you need a new handout, please see Ms Tetrick (School Counselor).


    Please DO NOT send students to Ms Tetrick to see which schools they were accepted into.  She does not have access to this information. Parents need to log in and check.

  • CASA Shelter Canned Food Drive: We are conducting a canned food drive to support the CASA Shelter for abused women and children. Donations can be made as students enter the cafeteria each morning.

  • Track Tryouts:  February 3rd and 4th from 4 to 5:30 pm.  Permission slips can be picked up in room 2-211. 

    Students need Insurance (purchased online at and a Sports Physical BEFORE trying out.  All grade levels are welcome.

  • Pinellas County Schools Parent University:  a free program and informational session to help parents and caregivers support the academic life of children in kindergarten through 12th grade. February 6, 2016 from 8 to 11:30 am at Countryside High, located at 3000 SR 580, Clearwater.

    To register for the Feb. 6 workshop, please visit If you have questions about Parent University, please call (813) 274-0968 or the district’s Office of Strategic Partnerships at (727) 588-6405.

    There are workshops for parents of elementary, middle and high school students with information that will help your child with math, reading, and science, graduation requirements, FSA assessments, college/career readiness, digital learning tools, STEM, and many more.

    Some of the workshop titles are: Ready. Set. High School! – Understanding the Requirements of High School, Khan Academy as a support to learning, and My Gifted Child Didn’t Come with an Owner’s Manual.

    There will also be a “Resource Café."  This is an area where parents can get their questions and concerns answered by district staff.  The center will include stations about 504 plans, Kindergarten registration, Choice Programs, Student Assignment, Family Engagement, the Juvenile Welfare Board and others. 

    Childcare will be provided to all who preregister for the event. Childcare is limited to children enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade.
