Charity revitalizes pantry

The SHARES pantry at Lakewood High School recently ran out of personal hygiene items, which are supplied by donations. An announcement was made on Jan. 31 regarding the issue. Since then, the pantry has been receiving personal hygiene items every afternoon for the past week. An unexpectedly large number of new items came in, fully stocking both cabinets health teacher Erika Miller said. All sorts of people including parents, fellow teachers and the community participated in donating more items to the pantry of Lakewood High School. It was the first time they asked for help and it was greatly appreciated. “It was overwhelming to say the least,” Miller said.
