Midtown Academy Center for Cultural Arts & Gifted Studies

Welcome to Midtown Academy

  • Welcome to Midtown Academy - Center for Cultural Arts & Gifted Studies

Our Midtown scholars experience the best of all worlds – academics and the arts – in classrooms centered around hands-on learning with STEM enrichment. Midtown is the only south Pinellas elementary school offering:

    • Double the arts! Four times per week arts/music classes.

    • Full-time gifted! All-gifted, all-day instruction (Gifted FAQs)

    • Project-based learning! MakerSpace and student-led enrichment clusters weekly (School Wide Enrichment Model)

    • Cultural immersion field trips! Frequent visits to museums and local cultural institutions.

    • All instructors gifted trained! High-level teaching strategies in every classroom.

Our small-school environment ensures that every child receives the personalized tools to succeed academically and become a real-world problem solver. Seeing is believing. We invite you to tour our historic campus, and explore our classrooms in action!

Late applications will open March 23rd for the 2020-2021 school year and a few spots remain available in both programs! For additional information, contact our magnet coordinator at 727-893-1358 or at griffinas@pcsb.org or sign up to take a tour

    Principal's Message

Welcome to Midtown Academy Center of Cultural Arts and Gifted Studies home of the Mustangs. I am Keila Victor, the principal. I have been an educator for over 20 years, previously at Pinellas Park, Madeira Beach Fundamental and Bay Vista Fundamental Elementary.

The staff of Midtown Academy is committed to a safe learning environment that is academically focused, but we still make time to have fun and celebrate our successes. We focus on providing a quality education for students in our community through relationship building, quality instruction and development of a strong home school connection.

As you walk through the campus please take note of our Guidelines for Success:

    Cooperation

    Assertiveness

    Respect

    Empathy

    Self-Control

We welcome your participation in the school improvement process through membership or attendance of the School Advisory Council (SAC), meetings and active PTA involvement. Your partnership is a valuable asset to our success.

I look forward to an excellent year at Midtown Academy.
