Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! 2025 is January 27-31, 2025.  The Just Read, Florida! Office and the Florida Department of Education (FDOE), in partnership with other FDOE offices, school districts, state organizations and agencies, assist with this literacy initiative.  The goal of Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! is to inspire a love of reading and writing while strengthening literacy skills in the students of Florida.  This year, our Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! theme is Building Literacy: Constructing the Foundation for Success. With this theme in mind, we are reading books related to workforce education (e.g., architecture, construction, engineering) in an effort to connect Governor DeSantis’ Get There Workforce Education Initiative.  Schools are encouraged to plan activities and events for Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! to support literacy.
