Welcome

  • Welcome to Richard L. Sanders School!

We are a K-12 school in Pinellas County serving students with a variety of exceptionalities. Services available on campus include Speech/Language therapy and Occupational therapy. Our school has four full-time social workers, three behavior specialists, nursing services, and a psychologist to help with any student needs. Our Reintegration VE Specialist works to provide opportunities for our students to return to the general education setting.

    Digital Device Distribution

For any family that needs a digital device, we will be distributing devices for at home learning on  Wednesday, March 25 between the hours of 9:30 and 2:30 in the front office of the school. Both the students and a parent or guardian must be present to check out the device. A state ID is required and the guardian or parent must be 18 years of age or older. In order to minimize crowds, I encourage you to come at your assigned time to ensure we do not have a large crowd assemble.

The assigned times are posted on the school website and I will share them now:

    Elementary Families: 9:30-10:30
    Middle School Families 11:30-12:30
    High School Families 1:30-2:30

If these times are not convenient, please call the school to make other arrangements.

If you do not have internet service at home, Spectrum is providing 60 days of free internet for new customers with school-age children at home. Call Spectrum at 1-844-488-8395 to enroll.

    FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Our school buildings are closed – your child’s education continues! We know that students must have healthy and nutritious meals in order to learn. From March 23 through March 27, Pinellas County Schools will be providing free Grab & Go meals for all students ages 18 and under at nine schools throughout the district. Those schools are: Dunedin Elementary, Eisenhower Elementary, Fairmount Park Elementary, Marjorie K. Rawlings Elementary, John Hopkins Middle School, New Heights Elementary, Ponce De Leon Elementary, Southern Oak Elementary, and Tarpon Springs Elementary.

Your student must be present to pick up a meal.

Our community partners are also providing meals for students in need. For a complete list of partners throughout Pinellas County please visit the 211 Tampa Bay Cares website at www.211TampaBay.org

Our Food and Nutrition Service Department is working diligently to finalize a long-term plan that will provide meals until schools re-open. We will share that information as soon as possible.

For more detailed information about our Grab & Go meal plan, please visit the district’s website www.pcsb.org or call our school during normal business hours at 727-547-7728. Thank you.
