    Families:  Help Belcher Elementary School win an ice cream social and a visit from the PCS Book Bus!  

    January 27-31 is Literacy Week and to celebrate and encourage families to read together, Pinellas County Schools is launching the Elementary Family Storytime Challenge!  It’s easy- 

    1. Watch this video of Associate Superintendent Ms. Lori Matway launching the challenge
    2. Use your phone or other recording device to record a 10 second (up to 25 MB) video of their child showing and telling us the title of their favorite read aloud book
    3. Send it by Feb. 10 to Sheila Kane at
    4. Include your name, your child/children’s name, the name of the school(s) your child/children attend and indicate your permission for PCS to use the video

    The school with the most videos submitted by Feb. 10 earns an ice cream social and a visit from the Book Bus for the students who participated!

    This statewide event is next week, January 27-31. Please join us in celebrating reading and writing!

              Pinellas County Schools Transportation Department is implementing a new system to inform you when your child’s bus is going to be delayed. Our school is part of a pilot effort to use a system called Bus Bulletin.


              The Bus Bulletin notification system will notify schools, parents and students when there are bus delays and schedule changes. If you would like to receive instant notifications when delays or incidents affect your student's bus, please register with Bus Bulletin.


    • There is no cost to you for this service.
    • Registration is simple and fast.
    • You can choose to receive either text messages, phone calls, and e-mails or all of these options.
    • All contact information is stored securely and will not be shared or sold. Your privacy is protected.
    • Please note: this system is not related to Pinellas County Schools new emergency text message communications through SchoolMessenger.
