Welcome to Belcher Elementary School, home of the Bobcats!

I have been an educator for over 28 years with Pinellas County Schools. I am proud to be celebrating my fourteenth year as principal here.

My vision for Belcher Elementary is that it shall be a safe place where students are nurtured and encouraged to learn and grow.  It is my job to see that boys and girls are learning at the highest levels they are capable of in the safest possible environment. To that end, I see my mission as principal as the following:  Do whatever is needed to see that each child has the opportunity to Believe in their own abilities, Act on their personal goals and Achieve academic and personal excellence.

I am a parent.  I want the best for my child.  I know that each of you wants the same.  I truly believe that children can receive a world class education in Pinellas County Schools and they can receive that education at Belcher.  I invite each of you to join me this year in helping our children to Believe, Act and Achieve!

If you have questions or comments about something at Belcher or your son or daughter’s education, please do not hesitate to email me, call the school or schedule an appointment to come in and see me. Together we can make Belcher a wonderful center for learning!

It is my privilege to serve as the Assistant Principal at Belcher Elementary. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Regular Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Later, I obtained my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from University of South Florida. After moving to Pinellas County with my husband in 2004, I worked as a Special Education Teacher, Regular Education Teacher and Instructional Staff Developer for Elementary Mathematics Department for the district. During my career, I have gained experience in grades kindergarten to 5th grade in regular education and special education. I am a proud mom of two boys, Xavier and Kyuss, which makes my life exciting and fulfilling.

At Belcher, we believe that all students can learn and we act on those beliefs so that all students may achieve their highest learning potential in a safe environment. There are many opportunities to become involved in your child’s educational experience. The partnership between home and school can impact your child tremendously. I look forward to working collaboratively with the Belcher families, teachers and students to make sure the children enjoy school and are successful.
