Weekend Update 02-21-21
Hello, Carwise Middle School families. This is Mr. Eiben, your principal, reaching out with some weekend updates. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying your weekend.
Parents don’t forget about our ELP/tutoring program. This occurs Monday and Tuesday after school and Wednesday and Thursday before school. All sessions occur in the media center. These days are perfect for those students that need to take part in credit recovery.
Attention 8th grade parents, if you applied for your child to attend a magnet, fundamental, or career program, the acceptance period ends at 5PM on Friday, February 26th. So, please be sure to login to the student reservation system to accept the program of your choice. Also, 8th grade parents, please be sure to check out our website (https://www.pcsb.org/Page/31727) for information regarding high school registration dates.
Attention parents of students who have an IEP and receive ESE services. The Florida Department of Education is looking for your input. This survey determines how well schools are partnering with parents and promoting their involvement in their child’s education. Please use this link (www.esesurvey.com) to complete this survey. Thank you!
Attention parents of MyPCS students, please know that as we approach the end of the school year and the dates for the FSA and EOC assessments get closer, the state is requiring that all state assessments occur at school. We will have much more information as the dates get closer. Please know that we will take all necessary precautions to ensure that our MyPCS students follow all CDC guidelines during these testing times. Again, we will provide additional information to our MyPCS families as the arrangements are finalize.
Last, another reminder to please keep your child home if they are not feeling well. Also, if anyone in the household has tested positive for COVID, please contact the school and keep your child home. Additionally, please continue to discuss with your child the importance of wearing their mask and wearing it correctly. Students who do not wear their mask correctly, and put others at risk, can be moved to MyPCS virtual learning. Additionally, students need to continue to social distance and sanitize hands while at school. Thank you very much for your continued support with these process and procedures.
Thanks again Carwise Middle families. The staff at CMS appreciates your continued support during this challenging school year. I hope everyone enjoys the remainder of the weekend. Thank you and take care!
