Principal Eiben's Announcements

  • Weekend Update 04-18-21

Hello, Carwise Middle School families.  This is Mr. Eiben, your principal, reaching out with some weekend updates.  I hope everyone is having a nice and relaxing weekend.

This week we will resume our normal schedule of ELP tutoring and credit recovery.  As we approach the end of the year, it is essential that those students who failed a first semester core academic course are in the process of making up this course through credit recovery.  Students cannot be promoted to the next grade level if any core course has a final grade of an F.

Speaking of grades, report cards will come out this Tuesday, April 20th.  Traditional students will receive them in their 7th period classes.  MyPCS (and Traditional) students will have them posted in Focus.  Please review these carefully with your child to ensure they are on track to pass for the school year.

This summer Pinellas County Schools will be offering the Summer Bridge enrichment program.  This will be a great way to keep students academically engaged over the summer.  This will be an in-person program and will include electives (music or PE).  Also, breakfast and lunch are included for everyone, and bus transportation, for those that qualify.  Check out the attached flyer or lean more on the PCSB website (

Last, parents I want to remind everyone that we are still following our COVID protocols of wearing masks, social distancing, one-way halls/stairs, and hand sanitizing, just to name a few.  Please help us reinforce the importance of these procedures with your child.  Additionally, if your child is not feeling well, has tested positive, or anyone in the house has tested positive, please keep them home and notify the school.  We will follow up with a return to school date.  Thank you for your continued help and support.

Thank you again families and staff for all you do to make Carwise Middle a great school.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.  Take care!
