Hello parents and CMS family members.  I hope you had a fun and safe spring break with your family and friends.  We are going strong for these last nine weeks of the school year.

Testing season is upon us.  Your child will be taking a series of FSA (Florida State Assessment) exams, as well as end of course exams this month and next.  Please make sure your children get a solid night’s sleep, along with a healthy and hearty breakfast.  These test results are used in making placement and course decisions for next school year.

I am so proud of our students for the recognition they have received throughout this year.  Recently we have won state and regional awards for History Fair, Science Fair, Science Olympiad, Music and Art, Future Business Leader Association, Writing Competitions and led our district as a top performing middle school.  We are recognized as a 2018 “SIMA” school, with so many awards for Science, Industry, Music and the Arts.

I am proud of our community initiatives as well.  Our Builder’s Club, Student Council, NJHS, and other groups are always working to help children in poverty, homeless families and those in need.  I am happy to announce that in a recent fundraiser our students raised $915 for the families at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School, to offset medical and other expenses related to the tragedy.  I cannot find the words to express how overwhelmed I am with our students and community’s kindness.

We are constantly reviewing our own safety and security procedures.  We are continuing to make sure we create a safe and successful school environment every day.

I recognize that we are successful because we have a strong community working to help us.  I want to thank you for all your support.

    Thank You,

    Robert Vicari, Ed.S

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

We are now one of a few middle schools in the State of Florida to have a Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter. The students engage in State and National competitions. Every competition has a business focus. Students are provided the opportunity to meet and work with top CEOs and Entrepreneurs from all over the world.  This is Carwise Middle School’s first FBLA group. We are looking forward to competing on a state level in Orlando.

We are proud of our CMS Sharks!
