Principal Eiben's Announcements
Weekend Update 10-10-21
Hello, Carwise Middle School families. This is Mr. Eiben, your principal, reaching out with your weekend update. I hope everyone is finding some time to relax and recharge.
This week we will rotate back to starting our school day in 1st period. Please remind your child. Thank you!
Monday we will have our ELP/tutoring after school in the media center from 4:20 until 5:20PM. Please be sure to pick-up your child in the car circle behind the school. Also, Monday afterschool we will have a home volleyball game. Good luck Sharks!
Tuesday we will again have ELP/tutoring after school in the media center from 4:20 until 5:20PM. Additionally, we will have our monthly SAC meeting at 5:30PM. This will be a virtual meeting. If you want to attend, please email me and I will send you the link. Thanks!
Wednesday we will have before school ELP/tutoring in the media center from 8:20 until 9:20AM. Please drop off your child in front of the school at the main office. Also, Wednesday our 8th grade students will take the PSAT 8/9. This test will measure our students’ learning and help determine areas of need. Also, this test will help build confidence and allow practice for the PSAT 10 and the SAT.
Thursday we will again have before school ELP/tutoring in the media center from 8:20 until 9:20AM.
On Friday we will be rewarding our students with perfect attendance during all three lunches. Also, our NJHS candidates’ applications must be complete by this day. Please be sure to go to the NJHS Teams site for information on the application process. Again, applications are due to Ms. Himmel by October 15th. Thank you!
Also, this week we will begin to assign student hallway lockers for those students who might need one. Students must have a school purchased lock. For our 8th graders, they can use their locks from 6th grade if they still have it. Also, locks will be on sale before school and during all lunches in the cafeteria. Locks will be $4 cash. Lockers will be assigned during their 7th period class to students who need one. Students can only use the locker that is assigned to them and cannot share lockers. Also, students will still be required to be on time to their classes. If students do not use their assigned locker or are habitually late to class, their locker privileges will be rescinded. We hope this “lightens the load” for some of those heavy backpacks.
Attention parents of students who are taking a the Elevate reading course. PCS will be offering a Level Up opportunity. This online session is for parents to help support their child. This program will help parents learn about the Elevate routine, goals of the course, and two ways they can have their child practice productively at home by interacting with the Elevate software. This virtual program will be on Tuesday, October 19th from 6:30 to 7:30PM. Click here to join the session.
Thanks again Shark family for making CMS the best middle school ever where Together Everyone Accomplishes More!!!
