    January/ February Newsletter

    Dear Parents/Guardians:

Happy New Year!  Believe it or not, we have already completed the first half of this school year!  The last day of the first semester/second nine weeks was on December 21, and the teachers have been submitting first semester grades this week.  You will receive your child’s report card on January 18th

Please take time to review your child’s academic and social progress. If you have concerns, please take advantage of the tutoring/extra help sessions and other supports we have in place. Our teachers and I are willing to meet with parents/guardians at any time.  Feel free to contact your child’s guidance counselor and/or me to schedule a conference before we get too far into the school year.

Our teachers have been providing assessments to determine students’ academic growth since the beginning of the school year.  We are happy to see our students put forth their best efforts as they build the foundation needed for the challenges in High School and beyond.

Please continue to encourage your child to be involved in all of the fun clubs and activities we have at CMS. We know your child will enjoy the experiences and opportunities of over 25 choices to foster their interests in Art, Music, Science, Technology, Competitions, Sports, History, Monster Madness, Animal Friends, International Cultures, Robotics and many other activities.

I want to thank you for all of your support. Together we continue to make CMS an award-winning school and a great place for our students and families.

    Thank you,

    Robert Vicari, Principal

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

We are now one of a few middle schools in the State of Florida to have a Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter. The students engage in State and National competitions. Every competition has a business focus. Students are provided the opportunity to meet and work with top CEOs and Entrepreneurs from all over the world.  This is Carwise Middle School’s first FBLA group. We are looking forward to competing on a state level in Orlando.

We are proud of our CMS Sharks!
