Pinellas County Schools is proud of the volunteer and partnership involvement in schools throughout the district. The active participation of families, business leaders and community members in the classroom extends the effectiveness of teachers and staff. Volunteers also help the district to deliver valuable services to students and schools that would not be possible without the support of the community.

    During the school year, more than 18,000 school volunteers donate over one million hours of service to benefit students. What cannot be measured is the intrinsic value of the services volunteers and partners bring to schools. The encouragement , the patience, and the boost in self-esteem are immeasurable and critically important to students.
