About Belcher Elementary

Belcher Elementary School was established in 1959. It has undergone many changes and renovations throughout the years. Due to a diverse and evolving population of students, we have become an ESOL center with ample support for students. Belcher Elementary became a Title 1 school during the 2003-2004 school year and we are continually invested in finding ways to support all the students we are charged to serve. We are a gender study school and are committed to finding creative ways to close the gender achievement gap. Our staff have engaged in PD to better understand the ways males and female brains develop and how they best learn, applied for, and received flexible seating grants, and purchased high-interest books for our classroom libraries. We are dedicated to our motto, Believe-Act-Achieve!
