NBA player return home to St. Petersburg

Orlando Magic basketball player Marreese Speights came to John Hopkins Middle School on September 1^st, to speak to students about staying in school.

Speights talked during both lunch periods about his experience growing up in St. Petersburg, and want to help other young people succeed.

“In my free time I like going to different communities an d different facilities,” he said. “(My advice to students is) being around the right kids.”

Students were excited to hear the NBA player speak, and have a picture taken of him.
