Pinellas County Schools is working with community partners to stress the importance of students showing up to school, on time, each day.
The district is collaborating with the Juvenile Welfare Board and other community groups on the campaign. Schools have received materials, including banners, posters and fliers to support the effort.
Fact sheets help parents learn more about the importance of good attendance and how to build the habit of good attendance.
This school year, parents and district staff will have a new resource to help track student attendance. Each Pinellas school website will feature a new icon that will allow parents to click and send an email informing the school that their child will be absent.
