Tandy Angel has it pretty good life. Her parents are the famous Malcom and Maud Angel, who make millions each year owning and operating one of the largest pharmaceutical companies. Needless to say, Tandy is rich. And I mean money coming out of her ears rich. She lives with her parents and brothers in an exclusive New York City apartment.

Her family is very well known. One of Tandy’s twin brothers is well known for performing on his piano or any other instrument for that matter. He’s also an accomplished painter. Tandy’s younger brother, whom she calls “Little Man”, is scary strong for a kid. (I mean, pick up a boulder kind of thing.)

Tandy’s older brother, plays for the N.Y. Giants pro football team. Tandy herself? She’s just a kid genius who shows absolutely no emotion.

Tandy’s world is ruined when late one night she hears a knock on the door. Tandy opens it to find the police. The officers enter and find Tandy’s parents in their bedroom, murdered.

            Who called the police?

The police have a prime suspect. It’s Tandy. She was, of course, the last person to see her parents breathing. The only other suspects are her brothers. So now that their parents are dead, Tandy’s uncle becomes their guardian. Tandy can’t stand him.

Even if they are the police, Tandy knows no one is truly smarter than she is. No one is as well organized, as well controlled. The police can do what they want. But Angel’s always stay together.

And no one hurts an Angel and gets away with it.

James Patterson the author who made it big in crime novels has outdone himself in this one for younger readers.
