President Obama and the Ice Bucket Challenge

Too Cold For The President?

   President Obama was challenged to do the “Ice Bucket Challenge” by Ethel Kennedy, the widow of former Senator Robert F. Kennedy.

The President had plenty of meetings discussing this challenge, which benefits the ALS Foundation. ALS is a disease that attacks the nervous system. It is always fatal and there is no cure.

   President Obama decided to decline the challenge.

   He said he would rather donate a lot of money instead of doing Ice Bucket Challenge.

   Also, as president, it wouldn’t be very professional for him to dump a bucket of ice water on his head.

   Obama said he appreciated that Mrs. Kennedy did the challenge and offered him to do it, but he said that he would just donate money to an ALS charity in a week.

   If President Obama makes a donation to the ALS charity, then we definitely know that it should help a lot.

   Even if Obama donates, he should still do that challenge. If Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, can do the challenge …
