Lakewood High School participated in the annual Great American Teach-In on Nov. 13. opening its classrooms to a host of community professionals, including a Fit Kitchen chef who made omelets, a professional dancer and some local police officers. “We had way more speakers than ever before, almost 60,” family and community liaison Cherice McDonald said. “They came from many different backgrounds.” The teach-in allowed students to get a glimpse into the job-hunting world, and to learn about career choices they were unaware of before.
