Who is the new intern?
St. Petersburg College senior Josh Cummings is a new teaching intern at Lakewood High School. He started teaching biology in Phillip Muszynski’s class in early January.He said he had a choice to go to either Lakewood or Largo High, and he chose the Spartans.

Spartans role play Dungeons & Dragons
To those unaware of the game, a stroll through the courtyard in front of the cafeteria on a Tuesday afternoon may prove odd. Tables filled with students roleplaying their fictional characters while another student known as a “dungeon master” leads the adventurer’s story.

Locker-less Lakewood
All around Lakewood High School, lockers surround the students. Wherever you look, there is bound to be a locker. With the incredible number of lockers that Lakewood has, you would think that someone, anyone, would use them. However, students are not using them. At all.

Gym doors set to open in May
The gym reconstruction has been one of the most anticipated projects at Lakewood, going on for almost a year. Once the reconstruction is complete toward the end of May, the sports facility will feel clean, spacious and brand new.
