The Adult High School provides a way for students to return to high school and earn the credits they need for their high school diploma. The State requires a student to complete either 18 or 24 credits to earn a diploma. The Adult High school offers students an opportunity to earn credits at their own pace with a flexible schedule. To earn a high school diploma, students must meet the graduation requirements to maintain a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and must pass the FSA exam. Lakewood Community School is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to issue standard high school diplomas.
There is a $45 per term tuition fee. There are two terms in a calendar year.
Term 1: August 14 - December 19
Term 2: January 7 - July 16
Students may enter any time during the Term.
Students must meet the same academic requirements as traditional daytime high school students, including:
1. 2.0 GPA
2. Must pass the State of Florida required testing
3. Meet content requirements and elective requirements (14 content and 4 or 10 elective credits)
