The Adult High School provides a way for persons who dropped out of high
school for various reasons to return and earn the credits they need for their
high school diplomas. The State requires a student to complete either an 18 or 24
credit diploma. The Adult High School offers students a chance to earn those credits
at their own pace with a flexible schedule. The students must meet the
graduation requirements maintaining a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and must pass the
FCAT exams to receive a high school diploma. Clearwater Adult is fully
accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to issue
standard high school diplomas.
There is a $30.00 per term tuition fee. There are three terms in a calendar year.
Term 1: August 10 - November 30, Term 2: December 1 - March 30, Term 3: April 3 - July 20.
Students may enter at any time.
Students must meet the same academic requirements as traditional daytime high
school students, including:
- 2.0 GPA
- Must pass the State of Florida required testing.
- Meet content requirements and elective requirements (14 content
and 4 or 10 elective credits)
