ADULT HIGH SCHOOL

    • The Adult High School provides a way for students to complete the needed requirements for their high school diploma.
    • The State of Florida requires a student to complete either 18 or 24 credits to earn a diploma.
    • The Adult High School offers students an opportunity to earn credits at their own pace with a flexible schedule. 
    • Clearwater Adult Education Center is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to issue standard high school diplomas. 
    There is a $45.00 per term tuition fee.  There are two terms in a calendar year. 
    Term 1:  June - December
    Term 2:  January  - May
     
    Students can attend in person between 2:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. Monday-Thursday.
     
    Students may enroll at any time.
     
    Some work may be completed at home on a personal computer, but tests must be completed on campus in the presence of the teacher.  
     
    Students must meet the same academic requirements as traditional daytime high school students, including:
    1. 2.0 GPA
    2. Must pass the State of Florida required testing in reading and math
    3. Meet content requirements and elective requirements

    Keir Borresen is our AHS teacher at the Arcturas Annex, and Patrick Timmel will be assisting as well.
