The Adult High School provides a way for students to return to high school and earn the credits they need for their high school diploma. The State requires a student to complete either 18 or 24 credits to earn a diploma. The Adult High School offers students an opportunity to earn credits at their own pace with a flexible schedule. To earn a high school diploma, students must meet the graduation requirements maintaining a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and must pass the FCAT exams. Clearwater Adult Education Center is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to issue standard high school diplomas.
There is a $30.00 per term tuition fee. There are three terms in a calendar year.
Term 1: August 10 - November 17, Term 2: November 27 - March 23, Term 3: April 2 - July 12.
Students may enter at any time.
Students must meet the same academic requirements as traditional daytime high school students, including:
- 2.0 GPA
- Must pass the State of Florida required testing
- Meet content requirements and elective requirements (14 content and 4 or 10 elective credits)
