Dear Orange Grove Families,
It is with much excitement that we welcome everyone back to the 2017-18 school year. We are anxious to meet our new kindergarten families and look forward to continuing the relationships with our returning families. Our top priority at Orange Grove is 100% student success. We expect learning gains from every student. This will take each and every one of us working together for our children. Our 2017-18 theme is “Do the Impossible!” A quote by Tommy Lasorda says, “The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person’s determination.” Let’s encourage our kids to take risks, to persevere, and to do the impossible!
Feel free to stop by or call me anytime. My personal cell is 727-455-7891. Your input is truly valued. Read a great book with your child and have a great Orange Grove Day!
From the heart,
Christine Porter, Ed.D, Principal
We believe that the educational culture that has been established at Orange Grove Elementary School encourages independent thinking, creative development, motivation, and responsibility. Honor and respect for parents, family, teachers, peers, and the community are the desired goals for every student.
We believe that all Orange Grove Elementary students Kindergarten through Fifth grade should feel important and needed in our learning community. We believe in the team concept and rely on all school participants to share their talents and expertise in helping others to excel and progress. We believe that students should acquire factual knowledge and skills in alignment with the Florida State Standards and the Pinellas County district goals so that they are performing at grade level or above.
