Mr. Kevin Schottler
I am so proud to serve our school community as the Principal of Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Middle School. In 2002, I graduated from the University of South Florida with my Bachelor’s in Secondary English Education. After 12 years teaching all levels of English at Northeast High School, I completed my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at the University of South Florida – St. Petersburg. In 2014, I became an Assistant Principal at Seminole High School where I focused on School Safety, Curriculum and Instruction, Athletics, and Climate and Culture. After 4 years in High School Leadership, I transitioned to Azalea Middle School to focus on the more formative years with students. Throughout my 20 plus years serving as a teacher and school leader in Pinellas County Schools, I have never lost the passion for working with students, parents, and fellow educators. My number one goal as the Principal of Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Middle School is to help grow teachers who will empower students on their educational pathway. All Jaguar students will excel and seek full potential to have great success throughout their educational pathway and beyond.
