Mrs. Nicole Wilson

Dear Thurgood Marshall Community:

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Principal of Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Middle School.  Spanning eighteen years, my career with Pinellas County School included my role as a classroom teacher, right here at TMFMS, Math department chair, magnet coordinator, and assistant principal at Largo High, John Hopkins Middle and Seminole Middle school.  As an assistant principal, my primary duty was developer of the master schedule and curriculum oversight; roles I plan to continue.

Along with staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Thurgood by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners.  My plan this year is to learn, observe, and collaborate with all stakeholders to plan the best strategic direction for Thurgood Marshall. I have met most of content area department heads, and I hope to speak personally with the others by the end of the summer. Your input is vital!

My husband of 18 years, Harold, and I are proud parents of two daughters, a rising junior at St. Petersburg and a rising 5th grader at Lakeview Fundamental.  We live, work, and are raising our children in this community.

As your school leader, know that my door is always open and your input valued. Feel free to stop in or get on my calendar to discuss any ideas, suggestions, or concerns.

Sincerely,

Nicole Wilson

Principal
