Mrs. Moody

Donita Moody: Principal

  •  My name is Donita O. Moody, and I am honored to serve as the principal of this incredible school community. I am a proud product of Pinellas County Schools and a graduate of the University of South Florida, where I earned both my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and my Master of Education in Educational Leadership. Over the past 29 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, assistant principal, and, for 14 of those years, as a principal. Each role has deepened my commitment to building strong, supportive school communities where students excel.
With Eagle pride, I look forward to continuing Azalea’s strong tradition of excellence. Our vision is 100% student success, and we are committed to achieving it by providing every student with rigorous, meaningful, engaging, and empowering learning experiences. At Azalea, our mission is clear: Attendance + Attitude + Academics = Excellence and Empowerment for College, Career, and Life. This mission reflects my belief that consistent attendance, a growth mindset, and high expectations, paired with the right supports, are essential to helping every child reach their academic goals. I also believe that strong family and community connections play an important role in student success, and I look forward to partnering with you as a proud member of the Azalea family!
