We are proud to provide a 5000 Role Models of Excellence program here at Woodlawn.  The "5000 Role Models" is a reference tot he many adult men around the nation who serve as mentors and program facilitators for the purpose of assisting boys in increased academic achievement.  The student's involved are technically referred to as "mentees'.  However, one component of the program is to develop young men into future "Role Models of Excellence", so at times this term can eb used to describe what a student is developing into.  The program begins in elementary school and participants remain in the program throughout high-school.  Recently, a local high-school reported a 92% graduation rate for its program participants.
