Good afternoon TSHS Learning Community,
I hope everyone enjoyed a good start to the week. Here are the announcements, updates and reminders for all TSHS students and their families.
Curriculum
- Quarter 1 Report Cards were uploaded last week to Focus.
- Weekly student progress reports for Quarter 2 were emailed to parents on 11.03.24
- After school tutoring for English, Math, Science and SS is available Tuesday and Thursday afternoons @ the media center
- Math tutoring hosted by Mrs. Vasquez at lunch in room 905
- Math tutoring Wednesday evening 6:30 p.m. @ the Union Academy off MLK Avenue in TS hosted by Be the Change and TSHS students
- School issued laptops should be brought to school each day for classroom instructional use. **charging stations are available in classes and in the media center
- Updates regarding semester 1 schedule:
- We will not be administering semester 1 exams
- ELA Progress Monitoring 2 assessment for grades 9 and 10 will take place on Dec. 10
- Cycle 2 Formative Assessments – Algebra, Geometry, US History and Biology will take place in January (week of January 12)
- Semester 1 ends on Dec. 20
- Semester 2 begins on Jan. 6 *which is now a regular school day **hurricane make up day.
Campus
- Campus life is progressing well. Students are focused on getting to class on time and this helps ensure that our classroom instruction continues to follow bell to bell, maximizing learning opportunities for all students.
- Reminder for all students: electronic devices cell phones and ear buds, ear pods, headphones are expected to be stowed away and out of view during class. Cell phones may be used during class change but ear buds, ear pods and headphones are not permitted for use until lunch or after school.
- Reminder for all students regarding dress code: spandex leggings, pants or shorts must have appropriate length shirt covering (hips) or longer.

TSLCA Friends and Family Night with Senior Night starting at 7:15 p.m. followed
by the full run of the show “Awakening” at 8 p.m.
