Breaking News! The Alliance for a Healthier Generation recently announced that Lynch Elementary has been recognized as one of America's Healthiest Schools! Lynch is one of only 14 schools across the country recognized as an America's Healthiest Schools All-Star for our dedication to supporting the health and well-being of students, staff, and families. In total, 781 schools across 36 states were recognized as one of America's Healthiest Schools for the 2022-2023 school year.

For over 15 years, Healthier Generation’s prestigious, national recognition program has honored schools that have demonstrated remarkable efforts to prioritize the essential health needs of students and staff.

Schools are recognized as an America’s Healthiest Schools All-Star if they exemplify best practices in ALL NINE topics related to physical, mental, and social-emotional health and well-being:

• Strengthening Social-Emotional Health & Learning, co-presented in collaboration with Harmony SEL at National University and Kaiser Permanente

• Cultivating Staff Well-Being, co-presented in collaboration with Harmony SEL at National University and Kaiser Permanente

• Increasing Family & Community Engagement, presented in collaboration with Kohl’s

• Improving Nutrition & Food Access

• Implementing Local School Wellness Policy

• Bolstering Physical Education & Activity

• Enriching Health Education

• Promoting Tobacco-Free Schools

• Supporting School Health Services
