  • Help Build a Strong Foundation

A more involved parent means a better student, a better school, and a better community.  We know that you love and care for your children and also that you are incredibly busy and often overworked.  MVE PTA is going to offer you a different opportunity to meaningfully connect with your child’s teacher and school.  We are inviting you to join us as we build our way into a successful year by joining PTA.

    How do I join?

All it takes is a $5 fee.  That’s it!! Just $5 for the whole year, and you are a member, and have made a decision to be involved with your child's school.

What do I have to do?

Your $5 is enough! This fee does not commit you to volunteer time but does give an opportunity to make an impact on the on our children’s lives and education.

What does my child gain from me joining PTA?

Money raised by PTA goes right back into the classroom, supports the teachers at Mt. Vernon, and helps fund events at our school.

Do I have to attend meetings in order to join?

No.  Attending meetings is not a requirement.  However, your presence at a meeting allows for your voice to be heard.  Members are encouraged to attend and vote on issues that are being pushed at our school, and how money is being spent by the PTA.  Remember, your voice matters!! Also, meetings will provide opportunities to become more involved with your child through guest speakers, activities, and special programs.

Do I have to join for each of my children?

No.  One membership will cover your membership for all children at the school.

    Who can join?

Anyone!  Students are encouraged to ask parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents to join.  The more members we have, the stronger our PTA will be!
