LPN Remedial Course

    Description: The purpose of this course is to improve employability, enhance career skills, and attain personal enrichment through education.  The course includes 80 hours of classroom instruction and 96 hours of clinical instruction under the direct supervision of clinical instructors in an acute care setting, primary preventive care, and leadership.

    Accreditation:  This course is approved by the Florida State Board of Nursing, Rule 64B9-3.0025.

    Cost:  The cost of tuition is $751.52 and the lab fee is $75.68.  Please click here to view the course book and tool list for a total cost of fees, books, and supplies.

    • There is no financial aid for this training because it is a short course.

    Length:  176 hours

    Location: Pinellas Technical College, St. Petersburg campus - 901 34th Street South, St. Petersburg, FL

    Class Schedule:  The class (theory) sessions will be March 21 - April 24, 2017; 5pm - 9pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  The clinical sessions will be April 25 - May 25, 2017; 4pm - 9pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

    There will be an Information Session at 5:30pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Pinellas Technical College, St. Petersburg campus, in the mall/café area.  Applicants can register and pay fees at that time.

    Additional costs:  Applicants will be required to complete a Level 2 Background Check and Fingerprinting (must use EZ Fingerprinting/click here for more information) at a cost of $45.  This service may be available at the information session.  Students must also complete a 10 panel drug screening within 30 days of the course start date.  PN refresher students will also be required to show proof of TB testing completed within the past 12 months.
