    Mission:  The mission of this program is to prepare students for employment in the production industry.

     

    Program J100100 consists of a planned sequence of courses.
     
    Production Worker - Course ETI0481 (150 Hours) – Content includes the core concepts of technology, the influence of technology on history, the attributes of engineering design, employability skills, career opportunities, workplace safety and organization, and the various mechanisms used in industry.


    Assembler - Course ETI0482 (150 Hours) – Students are taught an understanding of thermal technology; how to troubleshoot and solve problems, and read and interpret blueprints/schematics; and the ability to apply good workplace communication skills, modern business practices, and quality assurance methods and control concepts.


    Process Assistant - Course ETI0484 (150 Hours) – Instruction concentrates on graphic design, using computer-aided design (CAD); proficiency in using measurement tools, instruments, and testing devices; a fundamental understanding of AC/DC electrical control and fluid power; and the ability to use and maintain technological products and systems, including the process, documentation, and operations involved with maintenance.


    Automation and Production Technician - Course ETI0485 (150 Hours) – Content focuses on various production tools and processes; computer aided manufacturing; flexible planning and control; computer control and robotics; and mass production.

    Minimum Satisfactory Academic Progress Requirement:  70%

    Minimum Attendance Requirement:  70%

    Basic Skills Entrance/Exit Requirements:  Student's competency in reading, math, and language is pre-assessed using the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).  Required basic skills grade levels are: Reading-9, Math-9, and Language-9.
