    Westgate Elementary is centrally located in Pinellas County. Westgate serves students from Pre-K to 5th grade. Our school hours are 8:45-2:55. Westgate Elementary's mascot is a Wildcat (Willie the Wildcat to be exact). There is before and after-school care available through our partnership with the YMCA. We have many after-school clubs, including STEM, Robotics, LEGO, Crazy 8's Math, Recorders, Chess Club, ELA and Math tutoring. There are student leadership opportunities available through Safety Patrols, SAVE Club, Girlfriends, and leading the Morning TV News Crew.
    Points of Pride

    • PBIS Model School 2023, Healthy School Silver Award Winner, Recipient of the Laura Bush Award for America's Libraries. TV News studio that is run totally by students, Student participation in District STEM Expo.
    • An active and involved PTA that sponsors many family events throughout the school year, such as "Trunk or Treat", Spring Carnival, and monthly spirit days.
    • One-to-one devices through fifth grade. Library Makerspace offers hands-on enrichment and creativity.
    • LEGO Foundation Grant Site.
